When 30-something writer, Harriet “Harry” Brewer finds herself heartbroken and back living with her mother in Auckland, the last person she expects to change her life is her old high school best friend Salman Abbasi. Sal is a divorced single dad and dentist who has similarly given up on love.

Harry and Sal are tired of holding out for “the One”, tired of being social pariah’s in the coupled up Auckland they see around them. When they reconnect at a High School reunion, they are reminded of the marriage pact they made at age 15 and decide…fuck it, why not?

They embark on a platonic marital journey that changes both their lives and eventually…their feelings for each other.
