Shortland Street fans can get their summer fix of the show by logging onto www.ferndalehomicide.co.nz and watching seven exclusive “webisodes” online – extra content that will never be seen on TV.

TVNZ and Shortland Street writers have joined forces to keep viewers engaged in the world of Shortland Street over the break, by offering exclusive online content that imparts clues and insights into the massive season-end cliffhanger.

These “fly on the wall” videos detail police interrogating the suspects in the Ethan Pierce shooting.

"The viewer can participate in the whodunnit surrounding Ethan's shooting, review the full set of suspect interrogations and draw conclusions as to the gunman's identity long before the case is solved in the new season," says Shortland Street producer, Steven Zanoski.

"The internet offers an added environment in which fans can engage with the show," says Zanoski.  "It extends the audience experience, allowing a greater interaction for those really wanting to get involved with the Shortland Street world.”

When Shortland Street returns to TV2 on Monday January 19th, online webisode viewers will be one step ahead of the pack as more information is revealed about “who shot Ethan Pierce”.
