Outrageous awards fortune

Outrageous Fortune struck gold at the 2008 Qantas Film and Television Awards winning eight awards in total. The show was nominated for 16 awards across 11 categories.
 
Having already won the award for Achievement in Editing - Drama/Comedy Programme (awarded to Bryan Shaw) at the Craft Awards on Friday September 12, 2008, Outrageous Fortune took out another seven awards at Saturday night’s star-studded ceremony in Auckland.
 
Outrageous Fortune won: Images and Sound – Best Drama Programme; Performance by an Actress in General Television - Robyn Malcolm; Performance by a Supporting Actress in General Television - Antonia Prebble; Performance by an Actor in General Television - Antony Starr; Performance by a Supporting Actor in General Television - Tammy Davis; Best Script - Drama/Comedy Programme – Rachel Lang; Sony Achievement in Directing - Drama/Comedy Programme – Mark Beesley; Achievement in Editing - Drama/Comedy Programme – Bryan Shaw.
 
Congratulations to Shortland Street for six nominations including Best Drama Programme, Best Actress (Toni Potter), Best Actor (Michael Galvin), Best Supporting Actor (Johnny Barker), Achievement in Editing (Rowan McKay) and Achievement in Production Design (Josh Thomas).
 
South Pacific Pictures’ most recent feature film, We’re Here to Help, also had two nominations for Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role (Erik Thomson) and Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Miriama Smith).
