Congratulations to 16 year old dancer Chaz Cummings of Wellington, who won the hearts – and most importantly the votes - of the nation last night to be crowned the winner of New Zealand’s Got Talent and a $100,000 prize.

Chaz and tap dancing duo, That Mean Crew were the top two acts as voted by the New Zealand public. Chaz was then announced as the act with the most public votes and the overall winner.

A very emotional Chaz was overcome by his win and somewhat at a loss for words as the audience gave him a standing ovation.  He managed to say “The dance studio will be open, you guys are angels, thank you so much”, before launching into an encore of his final performance routine.

Congratulations to all of the semi-finalists and finalists of New Zealand’s Got Talent – a true showcase of incredible acts proving New Zealand really does have talent.
