South Pacific Pictures, in association with Script to Screen, is launching the South Pacific Pictures Emerging Writers’ Lab.

John Barnett, Chief Executive Officer of South Pacific Pictures says: “The South Pacific Pictures Emerging Writers’ Lab is a terrific opportunity for aspiring writers to gain first-hand experience from some of New Zealand’s top drama writers and creators.

“Not only will they experience five days storylining on a new television series concept under the guidance of Tim Balme, Maxine Fleming, Rachel Lang, James Griffin and Steven Zanoski, they will actually be contracted and paid by South Pacific Pictures for their services.

“I look forward to meeting the eight successful candidates and watching their careers progress in the future,” Barnett says.

The Lab will run from 1 – 5 August 2011. Participants will be contracted and paid for their week’s participation.

You must be Auckland-based to apply. Application Deadline: 5pm 24 June 2011.
