South Pictures hit feature film Sione's Wedding has been selected for the 30th Montréal World Film Festival (24 August – 4 September) in the "Focus on World Cinema" section. The film will screen as Samoan Wedding, the title for release in the UK and North America.

Sione's Wedding won critical acclaim and broke box office records in New Zealand and has taken more than $4 million. The film is currently playing in cinemas across Australia.

The official Sione's Wedding DVD will be released on 23 August. Special features include exclusive interviews, music videos, hilarious audio commentary, off-screen antics and a behind-the-scenes documentary.

Sione's Wedding is a finalist in ten categories in the 2006 Air New Zealand Screen Awards, including Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Achievement in Directing. The winners will be announced on 24 August.
