Alexander Bell was a boy who tried to hear the grass grow. He studied bird skeletons, dissected dead animals and played the piano brilliantly. He made friends with the school outcast, wrote poetry, made a machine to husk wheat and made a speaking machine. He also invented his own name - Alexander Graham Bell.
